In the article, Australia’s efforts to protect cultural diversity seems to really bee working, and I think other countries should follow their lead. The article says “Australia remains a socially stable country, not despite its cultural diversity, but because of the acceptance of it and the firm belief that diversity is one of the country’s enduring strengths.” Clearly, embracing cultural diversity instead of diminishing it benefits the country as a whole. The loss of cultural diversity is not going to get better on its own, therefore something needs to be done.
Of course, Life would be much easier if everyone in the world spoke the same language so I understand why some people don’t support the vast amount of cultural diversity but cultures are unique and represent a way of life specific to certain people and places. In my opinion however, I think it would be a shame if it were lost.
